TLC
Resource Collection
Collection topics include literature and various aspects of the
teaching and learning experience, and numerous resources relating to the integration of instructional technology. The collection can be searched using the UB Libraries catalog. To limit your search to items in the TLC collection use the "Expert Search" and enter wcl=tlc.
TLC Handouts and Recorded Events Archive
Many TLC workshops and discussion forums are available as recorded audio or video. You can subscribe to the TLC recorded events as a podcast to automatically
receive new events as they become available.
UB’s Office of Organizational Development & Training
UB’s Office of Organizational Development & Training is charged with addressing the growing professional development needs of faculty and staff. OD&T offers instructor led programs, a range of online learning programs, monthly supervisor forums, and a range of organizational development services. As a part of the Division of University Human Resources, OD&T focuses on faculty and staff development needs outside of the classroom.
University Libraries Catalog
The University Libraries general catalog has a large collection of books and resources about educational pedagodgy, educational technology, and many how-to books and manuals about instructional technologies such as using the Internet in education, digital video, and presentation/productivity software. (Note that a valid UBIT account is needed to access UB Library resources)
SUNY Center for Professional Development (SUNY CPD)
A cooperative, voluntary organization funded by SUNY member campuses and the State University of New York system. SUNY CPD creates and delivers customized programs for skill and knowledge development in various technical, and teaching and learning areas. Two types of Training Points are available for use by UB faculty and staff for payment of SUNY CPD programs: CPD Points and ITEC Points. If Training points can be used for an event or class payment, it will be indicated on the SUNY CPD website registration page under "Payment Type Accepted."
